Above: A video created last year. This is an educational rap that was put to the tune of Love the Way You Lie by Eminem. We wrote our own lyrics and recorded the music in garage band. After we filmed and edited, the editing was done with iMovie '09. After it was finished it was featured on one of our STLP's news shows in 2010.
This is a video that I worked on with Elizabeth Guthrie and Lauren Fredrick. I created this during my time at Drakes Creek Middle School at the beginning of this school year. I used the same process as I did in the Christmas Rap and Educational Rap, the only difference is that I used iMovie '11 for editing. We recorded to Katy Perry's Last Friday Night. Once finished the video was shared on the DCMS News Show in 2011.
This is our STLP's Cinemania product for the 2012 year. In Cinemania you are given a list of criteria that has to be involved in a 3 minute (maximum length) video. Within 48 of receiving the list the video must be: created, edited, and posted online for judging.

This video was entered at STLP State in the KY Heritage division. Deanna Taylor and I spent many weeks going out into the community to collect everything we needed for this project. Then, at state we presented our video in a live competition, receiving first place, State Champions in the middle school division 2012.
The Christmas Rap is another video that was created last year in my 7th grade year. We used the same processes to create this video as we did to create the Educational Rap. Instead of using Love the Way You Lie, this time we used The Fresh Prince of Bel Air Theme Song. Once finished, the project was shared with the school on the SWMS Christmas Special in 2010.
Click below on the photo to view one of our STLP's news shows featuring "Teach Me How to Study."A few weeks ago we created another song for the news show. This song was for an educational purpose. If you've ever heard the song Teach Me How to Dougie, we did our song to the tune of it, except it said "teach me how to study." By creating this song, we wanted to encourage our student at SWMS to study. The story line of the song shows a girl who gets an F. on a test, she has her friends tell her what she needs to do in order to improve her grades and get on the right track with her school work.
